Structure Fire – Port Gibson
The Port Gibson and Clifton Springs (automatic mutual aid) Fire Departments were dispatched this evening to the VFW on Route 31 for a report of a fire alarm activation. While enroute, dispatch updated with reports of flames showing from the front of the building.
Command went on scene and reported a Code 35 working Fire. Mutual aid was requested from the Manchester, Phelps, Farmington, Hopewell, Victor, East Bloomfield, Seneca Castle and the Ontario County Breathing Air Truck. Mutual aid from Wayne County included the Palmyra, East Palmyra, Marion, Fairville, Williamson, Lyons, Wallington, and Marbletown Fire Departments.
Additionally, Canandaigua, Egypt, Shortsville, Hopewell and Farmington provided fill-in coverage at empty stations.
