Fatal MVA – East Bloomfield

The East Bloomfield Fire and Ambulance, along with Finger Lakes Ambulance were dispatched this afternoon to State Rt. 444 for a reported 2 vehicle head-on MVA with 3 patients, 2 reported to be seriously injured.
Command reported a 2 vehicle accident blocking with 3 patients, and requested 1 additional ambulance to respond to the scene. The Bristol Fire Department was also requested to respond mutual aid to assist with traffic control.
1 patient was transported to Thompson Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, 1 patient was transported to Strong Hospital in Rochester, and 1 patient was pronounced at the scene.
Units were on scene for approximately 4 hours while the accident was investigated. MPN News Article
