Chimney Fire – Hopewell

The Hopewell and Shortsville (automatic mutual aid) Fire Departments were dispatched this morning to Freshour Road for a reported chimney fire. Command went on scene and reported heavy smoke from a masonary chimney. The Shortsville FD was held in quarters due to limited manpower.
The fire was contained to the chimney and was called under control in approximately 30 minutes.
