Structure Fire – Canandaigua

The Canandaigua Fire Department was dispatched just after noon today to Ferris Hills for an automatic fire alarm. While en route, dispatch updated with the report of a fire on the third floor. Units requested a FAST team from Cheshire and the VA Medical Center Fire Dept to respond to the scene.
Farmington responded to Canandaigua station 1 with a quint and engine for a fill-in, Shortsville responded to the VA, Victor to Farmington’s station 2, and Bristol was requested to standby in their quarters. The fire was called under control in approximately 45 mintues.
