Mulch Fire – Seneca Castle

The Seneca Castle Fire Department was dispatched to Sensenig’s mulch for a report of smoke coming from one of the mulch piles.

Command went on scene and reported that one of the mulch piles was on fire and requested mutual aid tankers from the Stanley, Hall and Northside Fire Departments.

Mutual aid was further requested from Hopewell for an engine with the blitzfire nozzle to respond to the scene.  The Gorham FD was placed on standby for the Stanley FD .

Additional tankers were requested from Oaks Corner, Phelps and Border City FD’s.  The fire was called under control in about 2 hours.
