LOSAP Approved – Gorham

Voters recently approved A proposition for a Length Of Service Award Program for members of the Gorham Fire Company. In a draft of the proposition, it states that starting on Jan. 1, 2010, “firefighters shall be paid, generally beginning at age 65, monthly lifetime service awards of $20 … for each year of credited volunteer firefighter service with the Gorham Fire Company.” Not all members of the community however, favor the program.
