Structure Fire – Ionia
The Ionia and West Bloomfield (automatic mutual aid) Fire Departments were dispatched to County Road 14 for a reported structure fire. While en route, command requested mutual aid from the East Bloomfield Fire Department.
Command went on scene and reported heavy smoke from the chimney and eaves. Command further requested a tanker and ladder from Honeoye to respond to the scene as well. Additional mutual aid requested included Mendon for a tanker and Victor for a ladder truck. Finger Lakes Ambulance was also on scene, and no injuries were reported. The fire caused fire damage to the first floor living space and a second floor bedroom, and was quickly extinguished. The Red Cross was notified to respond to assist the residents. The Honeoye Falls and Bristol Fire Departments provided fill-in coverage. Photos by Jeff Harloff MPNNews article with additional photos
