Structure Fire – Hopewell
The Hopewell Fire Department was dispatched this afternoon to County Meadows Estates on Rts 5 & 20 for a report of a possible structure fire. Further updates from a deputy on scene reported a trailer home with nobody home, and heavy smoke inside.
Command went on location and reported a working fire and requested mutual aid from Canandaigua for 1 engine to the scene. The fire was under control in just over 15 minutes, with no injuries reported. The Canandaigua Ambulance was on scene with 2 rigs to assist with Firefighter rehab due to the extreme temperatures. 1 Pet was removed from the structure and was revived by the ambulance crew.
The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the residents, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
