Structure Fire – Hopewell
The Hopewell and Seneca Castle Fire Departments were dispatched Saturday afternoon to the intersection of Spangle St and Booth Rd for a reported Barn Fire. Hopewell Units were already working another incident due to the storm, and were enroute immediately. Command arrived on scene and reported a large barn going good, with the house exposed to fire. Initial attack lines concentrated on protecting the house. Mutual aid tankers were requested from the Gorham and Stanley Fire Departments. Canandaigua Fire Department provided fill-in detail at Hopewell Station # 1 and Northside & White Springs Fire Departments provided fill-in for Seneca Castle FD. The Town of Hopewell assisted with heavy equipment to move the smoldering remains of the barn while firefighters watered down hot spots. MPNNews Article
