County Rope Team Activated – Naples
At approximately 12:07 this afternoon the he Naples FD and Naples Ambulance were dispatched to respond to Conklin / Parrish Gully in the High Tor Wildlife Management Area for a reported hiker fallen. Command reported a 63 year old male had fallen approximately 60-80 feet down an embankment. The patient was reported to be unresponsive with a severe head injury. The Ontario Count Rope team was activated to respond to assist in removing the victim. Additional assistance was received from OCALS, Mercy Flight of Western NY, New York State Forest Ranger and Yates Co Sheriff’s Department. The victim was brought up tthe embankment with ropes and rigging and transported to a landing zone site for transport by Mercy Flight to Strong Hospital.
