Manpower cuts in store for City of Canandaigua Fire Department ?

The Canandaigua City Council says the fire department needs to consider all its options to reduce overtime spending, which is estimated to be about $35,000 over budget this year. At a recent meeting, Fire Chief Matthew Snyder was asked to look into cutting the number of firefighters on duty at all times as one step toward meeting the $115,000 allocated for overtime in the budget.
