1 car MVA with entrappment - Phelps

The Phelps Fire Department, Phelps Ambulance, & OCALS were dispatched this morning to a reported 1 car MVA on Melvin Hill Road, just south of Phelps Cement. Dispatched indicated a vehicle in the ditch with two occupants inside.
Command arrived on location and confirmed the 1 car MVA, with 1 patient still in vehicle requiring extrication. Mercy Flight was requested by OCALS. Phelps firefighters utilized their Hurst tools to remove the driver’s side door, and the patient was extricated. A landing zone was established 100 yards from the incident, and the patient was transported to Strong Hospital.
