At Approximately 4 PM this afternoon, heavy thunderstorms hit Ontario County. Numerous departments were dispatched for storm-related calls such as wires arching, trees down, and automatic alarms.

Ontario County Fire Departments responded to 7 brush fires Wednesday and 6 on Thursday in spite of a ban on open burning enacted by Ontario County Board of Supervisors Chairmen Ted Fafinski. 1 property owner has been charged with a misdemeanor for conducting open burning. NPNNews Article

The Naples Fire Department was dispatched to a brush fire near Atlanta Garlinghouse Road. Naples Fire Chief Patrick Elwell said it took eight departments and 60 firefighters to battle the 40 acre blaze.
