Fire Departments throughout Ontario County were kept busy this afternoon as roads became icy due to the falling temperatures and frozen precipitation that was falling. Most accidents were either property damage only, or with minor injuries, including this one on Fisher Road in Phelps.

The Hopewell Fire Department and Canandaigua ambulance were dispatched this afternoon to Algerine Street for a report of a man trapped under a combine part.
Command reported the victim has self-extricated before FD’s arrival on scene. 1 male was transported by Canandaigua Ambulance to FF Thompson Hospital with minor injuries.

The Victor FD was dispatched this afternoon to the Black Diamond restaurant on Maple Ave for a reported chimney fire.

The Farmington Fire Department and Victor-Farmington Ambulance were dispatched to the NYS Thruway at exit 44 for a reported 2 vehicle MVA in the Eastbound lane.

The Victor and Farmington (automatic mutual aid) Fire Departments were dispatched this afternoon to the Victor IRA Home on Sunray Crest for a report of smoke in a bedroom.

The Canandaigua Fire Department was dispatched to Scotland Road in the city for a reported dryer fire in the basement. Engine 212 went on scene and reported light smoke showing.
The Fire was contained to the dryer with no damage to the structure.

The Clifton Springs Fire Department was dispatched this afternoon to Larue Road for a report of a vehicle into a pond.
