High Winds hit Ontario County

As high winds passed through the area today, numerous Ontario County Fire Departments responded to reports of trees and wires down.  Most incidents were minor, with departments either clearing the downed trees or standing by until utility crews responded to secure the downed wires.

Structure Fire – Phelps

The Phelps and Marbletown (automatic mutual aid) Fire Departments were dispatched this evening to State Rt. 88 for a report of smoke coming from an upstairs window. Command went on location with smoke showing

Haz-Mat Incident – Hopewell

The Hopewell Fire Department was dispatched this evening to Lowes Home Improvement store for a report of a tractor trailer leaking diesel fuel.  Command reported a truck that had hit a curb and was leaking fuel

High School lockdown – Canandaigua
